Holy ****** is a term I seem to be using frequently on this trip. Most of the time, I don't believe what I'm seeing. There's so much beauty here. It will steal your breath away. I haven't had the opportunity to travel to a lot of places, but I will definitely make the opportunity to come back here.
Since this short post at the top of this page, it has been 6 months since the amazing trip I took with Sally to Newfoundland. Wishing deeply I was back there. I thank Sally for allowing me to accompany her on the trip. She's truly a wonderful person, amazing photographer and a great mentor.
Since coming back to the states or rather back to small town living, it's been an adjustment. I'm the kind of person that can't stay in one place for long. That's wishing she were somewhere else all the time. I get back from a fantastic journey and I'm ready to embark on another. When my sister and I were younger, we would take family trips out West. I think there is so much beauty out there. Of course, when you've grown up on flat land all your life, seeing mountains for the first time is bound to make an impact.
My sister and I are complete opposites when traveling. This we found out the hard way. She would always get sick, like really sick when we went on family trips for a long period of time. She's just that kind of person that prefers home. I'm the kind of person that can't wait to get the hell out. I could live out of a suitcase for the rest of my life if I had the opportunity. When traveling with my family, I would get really depressed when we would start back home. My refusal to go resulted in nails into the carpet, screaming, crying fits in a desperate attempt to stay. Really, I wasn't that bad. When I would become distraught with the thought of leaving, my mom would always say, "this trip is over, but it just means we can plan for the next one." This would get me through.
That's just me. I want to see everything. Be everywhere. Experience. Experience Experience. Can I get a Amen?!? There are a lot of beautiful things in this world just waiting to be seen.
I want to be there.

"Adventure is out there"
Surprisingly, I have not had the chance to post anything new since beginning our journey. Honestly, "good" wifi...you know the kind of wifi that actually works, is hard to come by apparently. Perhaps that's just here? Anyway, I have been jotting down things that have been on my mind when I've not been the person driving.
Since embarking on this trip, I've had sometime to think about things. The movie that I just happened to think about one day was Pixar's movie, "UP." Since seeing the movie a while back, I've really adored the phrase..."Adventure is out there." It's so simple! Makes so much sense! Pixar is just so clever. Since joining Sally on this trip, I've realized the significance of that phrase.
If an opportunity comes your way, do what you have to to make it happen
Don't put things off
If all else fails...just go...not much else is needed. Well, maybe some cash.
Most important...most times it's a good ending.

Sullivan to Newfoundland
Fifteen hours later after driving back from North Carolina from visiting my boyfriend's family, I am off again traveling to Newfoundland. I look at it as a very liberating experience as opposed to an actual vacation. When I hear of someone going on vacation I imagine a person on a beach relaxing while sipping a fruity drink. Although there's a possibility of fruity drinks being present, this is not that kind of a vacation.

I'll be traveling along side my mentor and friend of quite a few years, Sally Van Natta. She has planned this trip to pursue a photography residency in Fogo, Newfoundland. I am merely accompanying her for a number of reasons: first being to save my soul, second, the thrill of being able to just go, and the third reason being most important, the photography experience.
I hope to do my best to document the trip to the fullest.
The photos seen here will mostly be from my iPhone 4S.
Keep up with me if you would like. I will try to post when wifi comes available.
